Biasa dipanggil Odi, adalah kutu buku yang akhirnya bekerja sebagai marketing dan editor buku. Selain membaca, dia juga penyuka kopi, konser, dan traveling. She is founder/director of Makassar International Writers Festival and a short story writer. She published four short story collections: Makkunrai (2008), Maisaura (2008), Family Room (2011) and Ayahku Bulan, Engkau Matahari (2012). She translated Anita Roddick's Business as Unusual into Indonesian which was published under the same title in 2013 and Linking People: Connections and Encounters Between Australians and Indonesians (2017).

Sese penyanyi dan pencipta lagu Makassar. Berkecimpung dalam sanggar seni, di antaranya Sanggar Kummis Jakarta dan Kassa Jeneponto. Alumni STIE Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta Angkatan 2004 ini pernah bermain dalam film Memburu Harimau, Silariang, dan Indonesia Itu Rumhaku.
He is a journalist, writer, photographer, and videographer living in Tinambung, West Sulawesi. He has published dozens of books on maritime culture, mainly based on his independent research over many years. He is also an activist who promotes the local culture of West Sulawesi, and is the founder of Perpustakaan Keliling, a moveable maritime library that sails around the islands of West Sulawesi.
He is a lecturer and a researcher in Public Health Faculty, Hasanuddin University. He is also an active writer for various news media and international journal.
He is an independent consultant, facilitator and catalyst to connect people, communities, and technologies to create collaborative platforms for the future, without border of countries, generation and global/local. He is founder/managing director of Matsui-Glocal and a champion in Indonesia - Japan relationship with more than thirty years in this field. He has been working with dozens of communities in Makassar and other cities of Indonesia.
His love in literature and voluntary service has made him actively involved in Makassar International Writers Festival (MIWF) as a volunteer since 2015. At present, he also keenly takes part in non-formal education and literacy movement together with Floating School, a non-formal school on boat that he found in Pangkep, South Sulawesi. Having learned a lot about literary in MIWF, some of his article has been featured in The Jakarta Post and Inside Indonesia.
Is an activist of #jamaahkreatifsektorselatan, a campaign that aims to enhance creative activities especially visual art in Makassar. He was involved in Makassar International Writers Festival (MIWF) as a visual designer since MIWF held for the first time. He is an initiator of different events, like Balanipa Project, a support system for artwork publication since 2006; OrangeFest as a creative festival held every 4 years in Makassar since 2012; Makassar Bienalle held in 2015 and 2017 by collaboration with Colliq Pujie Foundation and Tahanindie.
Lahir dan besar di Yogyakarta. Lulus S1 dari Sastra Jepang, Fakultas Sastra Universitas Gadjah Mada. Melanjutkan S2 di Ohio University di Southeast Asian Studies Program. Memperoleh gelar doktoral dari Keio University, Human Relations Graduate School. Disertasi yang ditulis mengenai sejarah Indonesia-Jepang di masa sebelum perang. Tema disertasi yang sama dengan skripsi yang ditulis saat S1 dan menjadi buku berjudul “Apakah Mereka Mata-Mata?” Pernah aktif menulis di beberapa media cetak dan media blogging.
